Start out by explaining what it is that you do?

We are a search engine marketing (SEM) agency helping and teaching businesses to get more relevant traffic from search engines like google. Our work is a mix of project oriented/one time tasks and recurring tasks for each customer.

How did you manage task and resource allocation before implementing TimeBlock?

Resource allocation was a mess. The deadlines and what resources that were agreed upon with our customers was not transparent to any employees. We worked with long todo-lists for each client without any real priority.

Why did you choose to implement TimeBlock?

I needed an overview of our resource allocation, our tasks and our deadlines and believed that TimeBlock would help.

How long time did it take to implement TimeBlock in your organisation?

It took about a week to implement the TimeBlock application and a week more to get rid of our worst working habits.

What benefits do you, your employees and customers get out of the TimeBlock method?

I have a better overview of what tasks the employees are working on and when they have planned to execute on the task. At the same time, I know how many resources there is available three to four weeks out.

When the employees meet in, they know exactly what tasks they need to work on that day. They tell me that their workday is less disorganized and they feel they work more efficient and smarter than before. And they do.

We are also able to inform our customers, when we have planned to work on their projects, this makes them feel better informed and less insecure about our delivery.
